Women and Girls In International Development

We believe that development is achieved most effectively when all constituents benefit equally and the priorities of local groups are honored.

As a learning community and academic resource, we seek to build capacity to address disparities for women in agriculture, natural resource management, education, food security, health and nutrition, and water.

The WGD program works collaboratively with Virginia Tech faculty and students, partner organizations around the world, and other stakeholders to conduct interdisciplinary research on women’s issues to increase opportunities for all constituents while achieving the technical goals of our projects.

The WGD program offers internship opportunities through different departments.
