"I am working to understand the relationship between gender and grafting. I am also interested in the implications of this for the value chain from plant propagation to market."

"I do not have a background in social science, so everything is new for me! The WID program has helped me to fit my agricultural knowledge into a social framework."
After-graduation plans:
"I hope to work in a role as an extension agent, either in the U.S or internationally."

"The work that I am doing has really opened my eyes to the importance of social relationships and gender roles in access to information."
