Kim Dowdy

International Finance and Program Coordinator

Expertise: Higher education financial policy and procedure, including extensive student affairs experience, as well as academic affairs/clinical operations, fiscal, and administrative support. Ms. Dowdy previously supported the Virginia Tech leadership exchange with Tec de Monterrey in Mexico and was a founding member of VT Engage.

Education:
Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in higher education, Sacred Heart University, 1999; B.S., psychology, qualifying for certification in education pre-K to eighth grade.

Countries of Work Experience: 
The United Kingdom/England, Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Experience Summary: Ms. Dowdy supports the Center for International Research, Education, and Development in fiscal and human resource functions related to the English Language Center at Tikrit University project, as well as supporting the associate director for finance & administration to prepare program proposals fiscal support documents. She supports department operational needs and funds compliance, including serving as CIRED’s network communications liaison.
